H.E. Ambassador-designate Patrick A. Chuasoto called on H.E. Van Tuan Tran, Ambassador of Vietnam to Sweden and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm for the first half of 2025, on 25 April 2025 (Friday), in Stockholm, Sweden.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the Philippines-Vietnam bilateral relations, which has been strengthened through a strategic partnership since 2015. Both sides also discussed their planned projects and activities towards strengthening bilateral relations with Sweden. Ambassador Tran shared his insights with respect to Sweden, the activities carried out by the ACS, and the changing dynamics in the global economy. 28 April 2025, Stockholm –The Philippine Embassy in Stockholm proudly held a flag-raising ceremony, attended by Embassy staff and personnel. This marks the first flag-raising ceremony under Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto’s tenure as the Philippines’ top envoy to Sweden.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the Philippine flag at the Embassy grounds, accompanied by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Ambassador Chuasoto was joined by the Embassy’s diplomatic team and staff, who gathered in a show of unity and commitment to serving the Filipino community and strengthening bilateral relations between the Philippines and Sweden.
In his remarks, Ambassador Chuasoto expressed his deep honor at representing the Philippines in Sweden, emphasizing the importance of unity, service, and the shared values that bind Filipinos both at home and abroad. He highlighted the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to supporting the welfare of Filipinos in Sweden and fostering closer ties with Swedish partners.
