22 October 2024 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta met with a delegation from the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) and National Veterinary Quarantine Service Division of the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), on 16 October 2024 (Wednesday), in Stockholm, Sweden.
The delegation carried out an Inspection Mission in Sweden from 07-16 October 2024, in connection with Sweden’s application for an export license for meat products to the Philippines.
The delegation were divided into groups that were deployed to different parts of Sweden to verify and evaluate Swedish farms’ care of livestock and slaughter houses’ procedures for preparing the meats to be packed for export.
The delegation was composed of Dr. Domingo Bartolome Gonzaga (Head of delegation); Dr. Kysha Angeline Magdaraog; Dr. Jaylene Manansala; Dr. Isagani Julius S. Rodrigo; Ms. Julie F. Basali; Dr. Jasmin R. Ala; Ms. Heddah Grace A. Binueza; Dr. Kwesi Ian Jay M. JUNSAN; and Dr. Jose Leo P. GALICIA. END.
22 October 2024 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta, Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS), led the ASEAN Ambassadors in a visit to Stockholm Wood City and in a meeting and briefing with Mr. Håkan Hyllengren, Business Development Chief, Atrium Ljungberg, on 16 October 2024 in Stockholm.
The Swedish urban developer, Atrium Ljungberg, initiated Stockholm Wood City - the world’s largest urban wooden construction project. The project aims to offer a vibrant, urban environment with a mix of workplaces, housing, restaurants and shops. Through innovative design, technology and strong collaborative culture, a new standard is set for sustainable construction.
The project covers 250,000 square meters and is located in the central parts of Sickla. The area will contain approximately 7,000 new workplaces and 2,000 homes. The expansion of Stockholm Wood City will take place in stages, where the first stage is planned to be undertaken in 2025 and the first houses are expected to be ready in 2027. END
