Embassy personnel led by Ms. Regina Queenie S.J. Perol, Administrative Officer and Attaché, Ms. Ma. Luisa F. Roque, Cultural Officer and Attaché, and Mr. Raymark Espeleta, Communications Officer, joined the Philippine European Volleyball Alliance (PEVA) in their celebration of Philippine Independence day on 06 June 2025 (Friday), in Kista, Sweden.

On behalf of H.E. Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto, Ms. Perol welcomed the teams from Denmark, Finland, Norway, United Kingdom, Belgium, Hungary, France, Poland, Malta, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and The Netherlands, as well as their families and friends, who came to cheer them on as they participate in the games.

The Guest of Honor, Mr. Anders Paulsson, a world renowned saxophonist gave a special performance of “Dahil sa Iyo” while the audience sang with gusto. FSOS members also gave a rendition of “Bayan Ko”.

An induction ceremony of the newly elected PEVA officers and awarding of best players of the tournaments held in the last three years were also carried out during the event. END
