Chargé d’affairés, a.i. Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga together with the other members of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm met with Business Sweden on 07 April 2025 (Monday) in Stockholm, Sweden.
Business Sweden was represented by Mr. Emil Akander, Vice President for Asia Pacific and Ms. Emma Broms, Director for Region South and Southeast Asia.
During the meeting, Business Sweden provided a briefing on its work, particularly its operations in the Asia Pacific region. Both sides also exchanged perspectives with respect to the United States’ imposition of tariffs on the EU and ASEAN, the importance of Research & Development (R&D), green transition projects and maximising the Global Green Initiative (GGI) in the ASEAN region, and importance of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) between the EU and ASEAN countries and dissemination of regional agreements.
Both sides discussed the economic cooperation between ASEAN and the EU, as well as ASEAN and Sweden. END
