H.E. Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto attended the 38th meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS), on 09 May 2025 (Friday), in Stockholm, Sweden.
During the meeting, the ACS took stock of the activities implemented in the past months, including the meetings with the Directorate for Trade Policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, Business Sweden, and Stockholm School of Economics. The ACS also discussed pending activities under the Chairmanship of Viet Nam.
The ACS Ambassadors welcomed Ambassador Chuasoto to his first ACS meeting. For his part, Ambassador Chuasoto thanked the other ACS Ambassadors for warmly receiving him and looked forward to working together, exchanging views, and carrying out activities for the benefit of ASEAN and for each country’s bilateral relations with Sweden. H.E. Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto visited Kanto Bistro, currently the only Filipino restaurant in Stockholm, on 08 May 2025 (Thursday).
Ambassador Chuasoto met with Ms. Elle Phillips, owner and Chief Executive Officer of Kanto Bistro. He sampled various dishes, including shrimp kinilaw, chicken inasal, and pork barbecue. He also tried Kanto's renowned desserts, such as the mango sago and leche flan.
Kanto Bistro, founded in 2023, is the first dining and only Filipino restaurant in Stockholm. The restaurant brings Filipino flavors to Stockholm and is gaining popularity with locals. It is a place where authenticity meets innovation, where Filipino hospitality shines and where every dish carries the heart of Filipino cuisine. END
H.E. Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto met with H.E. Dr. Adrien Müller, Ambassador of Hungary to Sweden and Doyen of the Diplomatic Corps, on 08 May 2025 (Thursday), in Stockholm, Sweden.
During the call, Ambassador Müller welcomed Ambassador Chuasoto and shared her experiences and suggestions in engaging with the Swedish government and authorities, the diplomatic corps, the private sector, and academe. Both sides exchanged views on global affairs, Philippines-Hungary relations, and their respective country’s bilateral relations with Sweden. END
