04 December 2023, Stockholm - Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta met with Ms. Malin Broberg, Rector and Vice Chancellor, University of Gothenburg (UGOT) on 29 November 2023.
Both sides discussed the different ways of carrying out cooperation between the UGOT and Philippine universities, as well as the key research profile areas of interest to UGOT.
Founded in 1891, UGOT is the third-oldest of the current Swedish universities with 53,845 students and 6,670 employees. It offers 203 programs and 1,924 courses.

24 October 2023 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta met with Migration Director Sonja Hämäläinen, Head of the Unit of Labor Migration and Integration of the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment on 24 October 2023.
Ms. Hämäläinen gave a presentation on Finland’s Talent Boost Program, which includes the Philippines as one of the target countries for labor migration. During the discussions, both sides discussed the possible ways to operationalize Finland’s program in partnership with the Philippine Government as well as the role of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in the process.

Gallaga, Philippine Labour Attaché Amuerfina Reyes, as well as representatives from the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Ms. Katri Niskanen, Chief Specialist and Team Leader, and Ms. Satu Salonen, Senior Specialist.
