04 December 2023, Stockholm - Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta met with Mr. Jörgen Blennow, Vice President of Education and Lifelong Learning at Chalmers School of Technology on 29 November 2023, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Mr. Blennow provided a brief background on Chalmers as well as the programmes available to students. He noted that Filipino students were enrolled in their Master’s programmes in the previous School Year. Both sides discussed the procedures for and possible areas of cooperation between the Chalmers School of Technology and Philippine universities.
Mr. Blennow also provided a tour of the Chalmers Student Union building, where the delegation also had a meet and greet with the Student Council President Ms. Isabelle Jarl.
Chalmers is the 2nd oldest technical university in Sweden, after the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. It offers 39 master’s programmes, all of which are taught in English. About 30% of master’s students are international students. Chalmers maintains the following research centres: Chalmers maritime simulators; Nanofabrication laboratory; Revere Chalmers resource for vehicle research; and Onsala space center.

04 December 2023, Stockholm - Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta met with Ms. Malin Broberg, Rector and Vice Chancellor, University of Gothenburg (UGOT) on 29 November 2023.
Both sides discussed the different ways of carrying out cooperation between the UGOT and Philippine universities, as well as the key research profile areas of interest to UGOT.
Founded in 1891, UGOT is the third-oldest of the current Swedish universities with 53,845 students and 6,670 employees. It offers 203 programs and 1,924 courses.
