07 March 2024 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta, attends the inauguration of new Finnish President H.E. Alexander Stubb on 01 March 2024, in Helsinki, Finland.
Ambassador Isleta along with other non-resident Ambassadors (NRAs) joined resident Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations (IOs) based in Helsinki attended the inauguration ceremonies for newly elected Finnish-President Alexander Stubb held on 01 March during a Plenary Session of the Finnish Parliament.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by an audience with both former President Sauli Niinistö and President Stubb at the Presidential Palace where some 100 Ambassadors and IO Heads lined up to take their turn in greeting them and their respective spouses. END.
07 March 2024 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta, together with the other members of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm met with Mr. Johan Forssell, Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade on 06 March 2024 at the Royal Thai Embassy, Stockholm, Sweden.
Both sides discussed the cooperation between ASEAN and Sweden, as well as bilateral relations of ASEAN countries with Sweden. The new Trade and Investment Strategy of Sweden which was first published in December 2023 was extensively discussed. END.
