27 May 2024 - H.E. Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta attended the 29th Anniversary Celebration of the establishment of the EuroAsian Dance Group (EADG) on 09 May 2024 (Thursday), in Täby, Sweden.
The EuroAsian Dance Group was created in 1995 by Ms. Ditas Enström (also the current President of the Group), a former member of the Bayanihan Dance Company in the Philippines.
What started as a small group of passionate dancers aiming to bring joy to audiences through their performance of Philippine and other Asian dances, the EuroAsian Dance Group has evolved to be active participants in various events, including cultural festivals in Stockholm.
For this year’s celebration, the Group invited Mr. Bry Cimafranca, violinist and vocalist of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, who serenaded the audience with classical and contemporary pieces. Guests were also treated to some light refreshments and Filipino delicacies.
Mr. Cimafranca also performed in a concert in Västerås and Köping, Gothenburg and in Bergen, Norway. END
