His Excellency Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto together with Mr. Noli Buhay, Chairperson of the Philippine Education Society (PES), led the graduation ceremony of the Silid Aralan sa Embahada - Termino III, on 14 June 2025 (Saturday), at the Philippine Embassy grounds.

A total of 16 students graduated in the presence of their parents and teachers, and were awarded certificates and medals for their hard work. Each student received a special gift courtesy of PES and Ms. Moira Gallaga.

The Embassy and PES also recognized the diligent work of volunteer teachers Ms. Rofilleta Larsson and Ms. Jella Miah Galabo, who gave their time and effort in conducting the classes.

The third iteration of the Silid Aralan sa Embahada held from 08 March to 31 May 2025,  is a continuation of the project with PES, focused on teaching the Filipino children in Sweden the Philippine language, history, geography, culture, and traditions. Students attended two (2) sessions monthly during the months of March to May 2025. 

Key highlights of the classes included the celebration of National Women’s Month - “Mga Babaeng Naging Bahagi sa Pagbuo ng Bansang Pilipinas” in March. The preparation of Filipino dishes to celebrate Food Month “Pagkaing Pinoy, Salamin ng Kulturang Pilipino” and National Literature Month with the “short storytelling activity” was held in April.  In May, the students commemorate Heritage Month “Exploring the Heritage of the Philippines” and learned the “History of the Filipino language”.

The graduation ceremony was carried out as part of the activities of the commemoration the 127th anniversary of Independence of the Philippines. END.
