His Excellency Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto led a flag raising ceremony and hosted a breakfast for the Filipino community in Stockholm, Sweden to celebrate the 127th Anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day, on 14 June 2025 (Saturday), at the Embassy grounds.

Ambassador Chuasoto was joined by Second Secretary and Consul Pat Lester F. Solosa and other key community leaders - Ms. Leticia Simpson, Mr. Noli Buhay, Ms. Laide Jane Assaf, and  Mr. Leandro De Chavez - in hoisting the Philippine flag.  Ms. Mary Liza Magana, a former student of the Silid Aralan sa Embahada project, led the Panunumpa sa Watawat.

Following an opening prayer by Mr. Andre Sunaz, member of the  Missionary Families of Christ Sweden (MFC Sweden), the messages H.E. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., H.E. First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, and H.E. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, were read by the Embassy personnel.

The flag raising ceremony was followed by the graduation ceremony of the students of the Silid Aralan sa Embahada - Termino III, a project carried out by the Embassy in collaboration with the Philippine Education Society (PES).

A “salu-salo” followed, during which guests were treated to Filipino-style breakfast (bangus silog, skinless longganisa with tocino silog, fried danggit, dilis, pusit and tuyo, chicken adobo, embutido, crispy pork belly, pansit palabok and fresh tuna kinilaw) and delectable desserts, including bibingka, biko, kutsinta, cassava cake, cheese cake, carrot cake, fruit salad, mango pearl salad, and assorted fruits.
